Wow! yes just watched it, amazing speech indeed! It's a shame though that there are so many extreme religious conservatives over there that are so worked up about it and resistant to changing something that won't affect them personally.

Funny when it comes to politics: What they display to the crowds per se, is not usually who they are behind closed doors. Every closet has skeletons,,,"how does it go?" "he who has not sinned can cast the first stone" or something like that. (Bad Catholic example I am lol)
With such a fast changing world some of them definitely need to get with the times.

(And substitute 'religious hypocrites' for 'religious conservatives'. By hypocrites, I mean those who claim religion, although they are not religious, because it gets them the votes of the 2% in Australia who are. {Source of 2% is Austn Bureau of Stats. Only 2% actively participate in religious activity. The rest who claim a religion on their Census forms do nothing, treating it as if it is an ethnic group into which they were born)
