Saygo Pudding Recipe – Creamy & Delicious Dessert

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup sago (tapioca pearls)
  • 1 cup milk (or coconut milk)
  • 2–3 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder (optional)
  • A pinch of salt
  • Chopped nuts or raisins for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Rinse sago
    • Wash the sago under running water to remove excess starch.
  • Microwave sago
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, add the sago and ½ cup water.
    • Microwave on high for 4–5 minutes. Stir halfway through.
    • The sago should turn translucent. If needed, microwave 1–2 minutes more.
  • Add milk & flavor
    • Pour in the milk, sugar, cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt.
    • Microwave for another 3–4 minutes, stirring once or twice, until the pudding thickens slightly.
  • Serve
    • Let it cool for a few minutes or refrigerate to serve chilled.
    • Garnish with nuts or raisins if desired.
Tips:
  • Stirring is key in the microwave to prevent sticking.
  • For a creamier texture, use half milk and half coconut milk.
  • Can add a few saffron strands for a richer aroma.
