In between all the sex we are having, I'm sure some of us like to read a good book?

So, could someone recommend a book that will blow my mind and not just my load? lol :laughing4

Can be fiction or non fiction.

I'm sure others out there always on a lookout for something good to read.
 
-Half the sky about the poverty, sexual etc issues in places like Africa. Great read

-marooned on mogmog about how a Perth family was supposedly sailing around the world and became stuck on an island in the middle of nowhere.

-The man who broke into Auswich, self explanatory!

-Mind hunter. Oldie but written by an ex FBI(?) dude and looks into the minds and crimes of serial killers etc.

-Breath. Typical Tim Winton book which makes you wonder wether you've actually been the places in his books.
 
Conversations with God -by Neale Donald Walsh.

Profound and profane. Loved it.
 
Notes of a dirty old man by Charles Bukouski.
The pleasure factory by Marc Almond.
Our lady of the flowers by Gene Genet.
 
The Big Short by Michael Lewis - guys who knew the GFC was going to happen, and when no-one listened made big money by betting against the deals being done (shorting).

A well read lady.............
 
Have a read of either 'The Caged Virgin, or 'Infidel' by Ayaan Hirshi Ali. 'A Secret Country' by John Pilger and 'Modern Primitives' by Re-Search Publications is another book which if you can find is well worth it!. Also Australian Academic and blogger Antony Lowenstein has written a couple of good books.

I would have recommended something less sexual but its when you said blow your mind, I thought mmm, I have some good Erotic Fiction that
tantilises the brain :p

Candy Girl was funny but I not heartfelt, clearly making a joke of the industry. Good sex industry books are Belle de Jour, Gods Callgirl and In My Skin.

But in general I'd recommend Dr.Zhivago or Sophie's Choice for something "epic" and history saturated, or for entertainment something like Carrie by Stephan King or One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest.
