Hi Tania :) ... Wishing you a speedy resolution from Friday forwards ... and I like to think I understand your current waiting drama ...

My previous comment was leaning toward hoping you don't incur any undue delay in securing specialist treatment following this Friday's outcome ... to that end, I'm suggesting that Darwin should be a pretty good place (in these COVID-19 times) for currently seeking medical treatment.

I'm pretty confident you are right there. And thank you for the positive thoughts xo

My usual doctor was not in and I had to see another doctor. He wasn't very helpful and was rude. Anyway the tests are inconclusive and I have a referral to a gynaecologist. Not sure how long it will take to get an appointment.
I have made an appointment with the better doctor for Monday and hope I will get more information and the referral can be pushed for a quicker date with the specialist.

I still feel stuck in a limbo.

... I hate getting medical advice on any Friday, just like I hate to come down sick late on a Saturday or anytime on a Sunday !!

At least my doctor I saw today has a brain. I'm scheduled for ultra sound early next week, which the specialist will need anyway. I'm seeing him again Friday 14th, he'll suss if I need a CT scan as well and then he will push for my specialist appointment to be in the extremely near future.

I knew I'd need the scans, no point going without them as that's what the specialist would ask me to do next anyway.

I guess it's progress at least.

Good outcome Tania. Hope it all goes well. Be positive as I have said earlier if it was anything sinister the pathologist would have straight away got in touch with your GP

Hi Tania, how are you going with things? Are the jigsaw pieces coming together?
At the moment take care of yourself so that you recover quickly.

I have an appointment on Tuesday for some scans then follow up appointment on Friday. It feels like it's all taking forever.

So today I'm really feeling overwhelmed. The wait for these results is definitely taking it's toll (have appt for this afternoon). A sick family member and hubby is away for another 2 weeks and non contactable. Having a bit of a cry and feeling mighty đź’© right now :(

Kudos for reaching out Tania. The mind going over various scenarios is very draining.
Is there someone that you can talk to? Maybe journal what you are feeling to get them off your chest?
You’re in everyone’s thoughts during this tough time

So the scans came back. There are a couple of cysts and something else on the verdict (I really didn't look to hard as I'm worried enough and don't need the extra stress right now, ignorance is bliss and all that). The prolapse is only very minor but the GP called for an urgent appointment with the Gynecologist and I am booked in for the 7th of this month.

Sorry it's taken me a couple of days to get this up.

It was good news. Great, Fantastic and Awesome news actually.

Though there is now one very angry gynecologist in Darwin.

I do have a slight prolapse but not anything to worry about. My cervix has dropped a little which is normal for someone my age who has delivered 3 babies naturally and won't be a problem as long as I'm using core muscles to lift.

I also have a bulge in the back of my vaginal wall but it's fine and normal.

Now this is why she's pissed. She could clearly see a nabothian cyst on my cervix. They form when normal tissue grows over mucus producing glandular tissue. They are always benign and can't cause cancer.
She said that the doctor should have known about these and should not have instilled fear the way she did and she should have followed protocols in place rather than scaring the bejeezus out of me. She said any normal person would think cancer and it's not on.

I can't describe how relieved I am.

I can't thank you all enough for how supportive you have all been and the messages and PM's have really helped through what has been a very frightening and stressful time. I honestly can't put my thanks into words and appreciate you all with all my heart xoxox
