No shows - good reasons

I'm eliminating genders.
What are good reasons for a no show and time taken to reply.
If party 1 and party 2 (no genders specified) have an agreement to meet at a specified time.
Party 1 does a no show. Then either 1 hour later or 2 hours later or a day later Party 1 says sorry I had an emergency.
Do you think this is ok? What are the time limits if any?

Me personally a party 1 not bothering to reply is totally wrong.
Depending on circumstances I can understand but I feel party 1 should reply to party 2 as soon as possible.

this is a good question.
According to me when it is a NO SHOW it already means the other party was not informed beforehand.
It is always good to inform beforehand but emergencies that don't allow you this time can arise and hence a sorry after a NO SHOW is great and appreciated with possible explanation if not the entire one but a logical one.

When two parties agree to meet, the one cancelling becomes genuine if they inform beforehand.

Well Said.
A No Show Should Always have an explanation so the other party do not feel bad,

I'm always prepared to accept that things happen and result in a no show - once.

I expect an apology and a good explanation ASAP.

If no apology and explanation - I block that number on my mob.

I have had a few ladies cancel due to unexpected circumstances, and a couple of no shows.

One sudden cancel or no show is unfortunate, but shit happens. I have had occasion to cancel at short notice (couple of hours) due to a difficult boss calling me in to work on my day off because of an 'emergency', but I have never ghosted.

Two sudden cancels or no shows is, at best, poor planning - I block that number and go looking for more professional ladies.

If something changes I'll always message with a apology and let them know what the reason is . Doesn't happen often though .

Going with the trend, and what is good for the gander should be good for the goose, perhaps punters should start asking for deposits from private WLs before they confirm a booking. That would compensate the punter for his waste of time (and the opportunity to see another WL during that time) from no shows, ghosting or misleading ages/descriptions.

No shows are very different to cancellations for a start.

I'm very lucky that I don't experience many no shows however over the Xmas period I experienced more than normal and from regulars and none of them to date have messaged to explain so that kind of sucks.

Cancellations happen things come up out of our control and I understand and appreciate the person letting me know. I've had to cancel in the past once my dog escaped and my mum rung me in a panic, one the toilet in the hotel I was in broke and also the apartment I had flooded.. all those things couldn't be helped but I felt terrible!

No shows are just rude holding the time when I could have seen someone else with no explanation or even acknowledgement is not okay, again emergencies happen but even dropping a message the next day just to let the person know is always appreciated.

A x

Thank you to everyone for your replies.
I've never no showed anyone. If I have to cancel I always reply BEFORE the agreed time even when emergency pops up. To me it is manners. When I am getting ready for the girl she is my no 1 priority. I realise her time is important but so is my time.
To get no reply for a no show is just rude.
If something happens to her phone and she replies a day or 2 later I understand.
To me if your phone works, it does not take long to send a message saying Sorry I have to cancel etc.

No show today from a very popular and well reviewed private girl in the city. Paid a deposit and receipt was confirmed.

Went in today and I haven’t had any more communication.

I hope she is ok :(

Yes that is just about the only reason for a no show no reply - death or hospitalisation or extreme sickness that I can think of a no show to not tell you. I hope she is ok.

I once no showed someone because I had acute diarrhoea of the anus. I was so ill. Strapped to the toilet for hours. Could not reach my phone. My only solace was memorising the label on the hand soap.

I apologised and sent $500 plus a video of me performing at the local karaoke night. I was immediately forgiven and was asked for my hand in marriage.

True story.

It’s not too hard to send a quick text to cancel a booking.
I usually cancel after I’ve made a booking due to blue balls, then decided to have a wank instead to save some money. Then simply send a text saying “sorry, can’t make it today. Will message again later in the week”
This doesn’t happen ALL the time, sometimes I do actually show up.

mmm Where else does diarrhoea come from?

IMO there will never ever be a good reason for a no-show.
I have had them and everyone gets one chance, only.
It was easy enough to make the booking .. it's just as easy to cancel/defer , or at the bery least let the other party know what's not gonna happen. No Shows are plain simple rude arrogance.
Death is an acceptable exception .. but again , only once.
