New Nail Tech @Langtrees

I hadn’t had a pedicure in over ten years — the last time was for my brother’s wedding. A full decade. So finally booking one felt a little overdue, but with a little encouragement from Mary-Anne, it turned out to be a good decision.

We’ve recently had Kim start working here as a nail tech three to four days a week, organised by Mary-Anne to make things easier for the girls who work here. Having someone on site has been surprisingly convenient, especially for those of us who usually put this kind of thing off.

From the start, the appointment felt more like a wellbeing reset than a standard nail session. Kim was easy to talk to, took the time to listen, and made the whole thing feel relaxed rather than transactional. It felt comfortable and genuine, not forced.

I also hadn’t had my nails done in over three years. I used to get shellac, but it left my nails weak, so this time I went with BIAB, which is much better for nail health. My nails feel strong again, and the finish — a sparkly navy — is subtle but still a bit fun.

Between finally getting a pedicure, trying BIAB, and having it all done in a calm, low-pressure setting, it was a great experience. I won’t wait another ten years before the next one, in fact, I'll be booking in again in a fortnight. Thanks Kim, it was a pleasure.
