Would the term "my friend Phoebe" offend as well? Or, "my wife Gail", "my son, Joe".
My husband, George. My hubbie, my wife, my son... my friend.
Normal speech, that even Germaine Greer would approve.
However, thank you for the reply... you are clearly not "my Phoebe" aka, "Cute Girl".
I'm kinda glad she's not here... as I'm giving her away at her wedding. Or is that too outmoded?
