It is also against the law in WA - If a sex worker is caught providing unprotected sex services the penalty is $5,000.

Yes - same penalty applies - this is taken from the current legislation in WA - "Prophylactic to be used It is an offence for a person to engage in an act of prostitution without using a prophylactic that is appropriate for preventing the transmission of bodily fluid from one person to another. Penalty: $5 000."

As i always say to people, "A Law is just some writing on a piece of paper unless it can be enforced" That stands true to this law, because who the hell is going to enforce it? You really think the health department is just going to send some officers to each brothel/working lady, Like they cannot even sort the hospitals out.

And the whole issue with this debate is null in point now days since the most common STD's are contact spread.

That info comes from a quick web search and from the mouth of a doctor & nurses know Irl.

It would actually be the Police from the Racing and Gaming squad which also encompasses the Vice Squad that would prosecute sex workers breaking the law.

That wouldn't be for Nat Sex, that would only happen if organised crime was involved. Since Sex work and organised crime generally are in bed with one another.

I can tell you for a fact that the Vice Squad has undercover police that will go and visit places to bust people providing unsafe sex etc. My sister in law used to be a police officer and was assigned to the Vice Squad where one of her jobs on a Friday/Saturday night was hang around Russell Square in Northbridge and bust kerb crawlers (people interested in street walkers). The men in the squad would visit brothels etc as a client to bust them providing unsafe services.

Male police officers would be queing up for that job to book a lady to tell there seargent if they used condom or not during sex.

No they cannot not, The police have to work within the confines of the law, they are not the law they are the upholders of the law.

Have you ever asked yourself why the police seem to only target non English speaking workers the most.

Simple, because they don't know what to do if targeted by the police or know who to speak to about the police abusing their power.
 
But hey, give it another 5 to 10 years and Nat sex will be a service that isn't taboo.
