Ok I guess I'm out of the loop but I heard that pot is now legal in LOS. Are there really shops set up for ppl to go in and get toasted? It's something I can't quite process because to me Asia + drugs has always equalled a death sentence.

Yes, the use of Cannabis is now legal in Thailand, although smoking it in public can earn you a 25,000 Baht fine ($1061 AUD).

I spent a week or so in Bangkok in January this year. In the touristy places it is just everywhere.

There are so many legitimate shops selling joints, grams etc… Huge glass jars full of ounces and ounces that you can have a whiff of before deciding on your purchase. And reasonably priced all things considered.
