Bosnian eh, wel i believe the best and easiest way would to ;

A. Move there
B. Get a mail order bride from there
C. Find a bosnian w/l and see her once a week

Which one will you pick ?

Definitely, if you can find one, a formal class with a native speaker of the lingo you want to learn is the best way. Another advantage of the school situation is that if the instructor is any good he/she will also pass on a lot of useful advice on customs and culture which can save you offending people or embarrassing yourself.

When you have the basics of pronunciation sorted a phrase book like the ones "Lonely Planet" publishes is also useful. This will usually enable you to do basic stuff like tell a taxi driver where you want to go, order a coffee or a meal and find a loo. If C.D.s are available actually hearing the language spoken is helpful in improving your pronunciation.

I have been to Thailand and there and in most other countries, the locals will appreciate your making an effort to learn the lingo and you won't get mocked for trying (not too much, anyway.) I found that the Thais like a laugh:p but it is all in a spirit of fun so don't be offended.)
