Have a friend find out recently that she was expecting so we sat down trying to think of some baby names...

And this got me curious... How do W/L choose their name?
Do they try and think of a name that sounds seductive??

Somehow if I rang a W/L and her name was Betty, or Dot or Hazel it wouldn`t feel the same as if thier name was Jasmine, Sophie or Samantha...

Can a name really make that much of a difference???

Yeah, I kept changing my working name until I felt happy with it. Have had the same name for nearly 2 years now.

I would imagine the other thing is that once you find a name your happy with you need to ensure it stands out from a marketing POV. Ie pandora in Perth, a different name. Can't be too many pandora's floating around perth whereas a name like Jess sounds nice but how many jess's are working in establishments!

The name and how they are used can make a differance theres Oi Oi Muriel get yer rollers out ya got a punter or there' s
Angel will come to reception theres a gentleman waiting to see you

My two working names i used to use where my sisters name and then my cousins name. My reasons were 1) I respond to these names in my personal life so the transition was easy
2) My cousin, who's name i used, was a working lady and when she worked she used her sisters name which inspired me to use my sisters. 3) I used my cousins name when i had to change it because she was previously a working girl and i responded to it.
Very easy and both names worked for me

But a name...what's in a name? that which we call a rose by any other name would still smell as sweet...."

But, Juliette, it is not the name which makes the lady but the lady who must make the name.
