I think I may have it.
Last night I went out to a house I don't normally frequent and spent quite a pleasant hour with a lovely lady. Nothing unusual but, somehow, the spark, the anticipation and the exitement of the forbidden fruit were missing. I won't review the lady or name the house because it may come across as negative and that wouldn't be fair as the fault was all on my side. The encounter was everything it should have been but it just didn't do anything for me.
Driving home I remembered a line from a James Bond story which summed up how I felt. "Bond finished his drink and it went down with the flat, bitter taste of one too many...." I wonder if I have just been punting too long and should take a break for a while?
