Influencers "are receiving thousands for sex"

Leading social media influencers are often approached by total strangers who offer them thousands of pounds in exchange for sex, according to information provided to the Victoria Derbyshire programme. One claimed that social media had transformed into "a catalogue" where men could choose their next victim.

A recent BBC investigation found that significant sums of money are regularly offered for sex to Instagram stars. Top social media personalities have discussed how randy males regard their online profiles as "a catalogue" on the Victoria Derbyshire programme. It's high-end prostitution, and Clarson said: "It's simply frightening to think if they messaged me, they've definitely messaged thousands of gorgeous females on Instagram."

She claimed that at the age of 19, she received her first proposal: a £20,000 ($26,000) offer for supper and drinks. She alleges she was offered £50,000 for five nights in Dubai on the condition that she sign a non-disclosure agreement and that what she would be expected to do would remain private after appearing in Love Island series two, which raised the value of the offers.
