Not always important as the connection with another person, I have been seeing a lady who over a period of time , we have a very strong sexual connection , yet does not result in full on sex , we both seem to get heightened awareness of our bodies with touch and communication of areas that please us. Seem to always leave with Goosebumps :)
 
but ok now i am not sure if you meant sexual activity in general. so in general? if i had to give it up, i would survive as its not the most important thing.

to me intimacy with someone is everything. i am afraid of it due to commitment issues from past relationships that were bad. if i met a woman who gave me right intimacy but couldnt give sexy times, id be ok with it :)

Its pretty important but again it also depends upon the partner. With a good and understanding partner it takes the session to another level. A health sexual life is also medically beneficial as it relieves one from stress and also helps in heart functioning too. It even keeps one's skin glowing (according to some).
