my brother is 52 years old and has had a slight problem with his eyesight most of his life . a few days after our mothers funeral ( 5-09-2013) he was complaining about the sun's glare hurting his eyes . the next day i received a call to take him to the eye clinic @ RBWH , this was 10.00 am . after a lot of prodding and consulting the doctors decided to admit him for 12 days, and in that time he was given surgery to both eyes .
i have been taking him back to the hospital for treatment every 2 to 3 days , lucky i am not working .

i have lived most of my life solo , not wanting to look after anyone but myself ( that is a big enough job on it's own ) and now i have to look after my brother .

how would you deal , if this happened to you ?????????????

This is a Hard one Johnlou,After all he's family.And what goes around Come's around.....xxxxxxx

As Jacquie said it is a difficult one
And we are all so different what I would think is the right thing may appear ludicrous to you
I mean I have had to look after family in the past and we are doing so again But I am fortunate enough not to be doing it alone

Only upside? A carers pension is far better that Unemployment benefit $970 a fortnight as compared to what .About $600 Still a pittance though

Ahoy;- Its a tough Question, but, I would take care off your Bro, after all he is family.
Cheers and Goodluck JL

taking care of my brother and or family has never been the question , it is adjusting to it and for him to adjust as well . we both live separate solo lives.
