Is there any hidden dangers if your starting to fist? I know you need everything to be very clean, but is there anything you should be careful with?
 
Lube, lots of lube. And go easy for the first few times. Stretching to accommodate will happen, but if you go too hard too fast (no pun intended) then you could tear something. That and the already-mentioned cleanliness are the most important things.

The only other thing I can think of right now would be to be careful where you put the hand afterwards. Depending on what is on the receiving end, you can transfer bacteria around. Maybe someone else with more experience can provide more information?
