If you encounter an error, check the top of the browser (see image above) for a yellow bar that reads "This site might require the following ActiveX control: J2SE Runtime Environment 6 Update 2 from 'Sun Microsystems, Inc.'. Click here to install..." Click the yellow bar and choose "Install ActiveX Control..." to allow installation to proceed.

This comes up when try to install and does not show any yellow bar, any suggestions.

If you're not sure, go to the Java home page and click the big green button.

That should give you the latest version and/or upgrade your current version.

If you just want to check first, go to this page to verify your version (again, big green button).

If it's a brand new laptop that you haven't been using on-line much, then yes, it'll need to have the latest version of Java installed.

If it's not your version of Java that's the problem, then there isn't much else that I can think of that might be blocking you.

(Note: Java installation will probably require re-start)
