I generally prefer it smooth and hair free downstairs but since it's the girls body the decision is up to them. Nothing wrong with a landing strip though.

my experience is that older men general don't care if it's shaven or hairy. many prefer hairy because that's what they're use to. Look at 80's Playboys every girl has a bush, or at least a landing strip. The younger men prefer shaven as it's what they're accustom to seeing in todays porn and magazines.

I keep mine shaven and/or trimmed just because of my personal tastes of not wanting so much hair down there.
