First time with SW, concerns

Have taken the jump and decided to see a SW for the first time. Obviously have some questions and concerns. Having small anxiety over STI's. Not planning on anything tthan other than a massage and covered oral. I understand it can't be 100% sage, but is this a pretty safe start, especially with a high end pvt lady.

It's bloody hard to quiet down the voices in my head, all the articles below, and on most forums, really do scare you into what could happen.
Do people think your safer with a high end escort or within licenced brothel?
Are the workers in Melb a safe option. Many thanks
