Faith Healing

I grew up in a country where people are very superstitious. I am a skeptic
and being a science oriented person, it is hard for me to beleive it. My grandmother was considered as a faith healer, but she used to tell me she was a faith helper (not a faith healer). I beleive our body has a self healing mechanism. Faith in God, faith in yourself, or even faith with your doctor helps the healing process. The only medium that my granma used in the healing procedure is WATER (pure mineral water). No medicine just pure H2O.
She would always tell me that she did not heal, the sick healed him/herself. Even though I witnessed a person getting healed, I am still trying to find an acceptable explanation

St. thomas Aquinas proved the existence of God by the existence of our solar system! But I am no saint.

Spiritual healing?
metaphysical adjustments of the body?
petty miracle?

Many of you have probably heard about faith healing!

Parapsychology is another topic that fascinates me. Psychokenetic ability, is not a gift but something we can all learn, unfortunately we are not that advanced yet as our brain cannot handle too much psychoenergy, but it is easy for the spirit(ghost) to do it because they don't have a body or physical brain to burn!

I had one time been able to control my dreams, do what I want such as flying or awake myself when I am having a nightmare. How did I do that I don't know. I can't do it anymore though. Humans have so many psychoabilities which we don't know how to utilise, more research? Have you ever dream in colours? sometimes I do but cannot explain it. Maybe I'll have another one tonite! LOL.

Precognition, telephaty, third eye? 6th sence? ---supernaturals

I believe that every human being has psychokenetic abilities. Apparently we are only using a very small part of our brains consciously so who knows what the other part is able to?????
I think being part in the rat race of modern life pushes our psychokenetic abilities into the background. Most of us are probably not aware that we have them or let's say never contemplate the possibility of having them.

Notworthy, I could never control my dreams but I have dreamed in colour (only once....a nightmare, very memorable experience, scary) and I had a couple of dreams were I was able to speak another language (Spanish) fluently.......the whole dream was in Spanish and so real that even after waking I nearly expected myself to speak the language.

I agree elise, humans are made up of energy. In fact everthing on earth, or maybe in Milky Way is made up of energy! Every matter is made of atoms, where electrons continuously revolve around its nucleus (like the solar system). This movement creates energy!

However if we are made up of energy, we cannot be destroyed. Einstein said energy cannot be destroyed but can only be transformed! Our physical body transformed when we die but our soul (a form of energy) will remain indestructable!

Just my theory!
 
The mind is a very powerful tool and we are a long way from finding out it`s full potential. Faith healing is exactly what it sounds like the person being healed must have faith and it`s proven scientifically Ive seen the research that faith and positive thinking can improve ones own life and health to what extent I do not know.

This is a fascinating thread I reckon, good inputs from smart people I think. Most of the respondents to this seems to be women. Notworthy, are you a charmer of ladies? Anyway it looks like most of the guys in this forum have only one interest, SEX. Fair enough, after all this is a sex forum! My mother is a clairvoyant as she claims, but i am a skeptic. Sorry for my spelling, not good at it. More input please ladies! I love reading them! If only we can utilised the full potential of our brain as Notworthy said, maybe we can do a lot of great stuff.
 
I just got a book titled "Power of the subconcious brain" by Dr. Murphy. It is unbeleivable how we only use 1/3 of our brain!

Has any one tried reiki? it feels like faith healing to me! you can feel energy covering you!

Yeah I have tried Reiki; it's amazing; a bit like Kinesiology. Some masseuses are able to practise Reiki at some level so it's worth asking...and I know for a fact that there are some EXCELLENT masseuses amongst the sex-workers at Langtrees Perth so why not pop in and find out where a relaxing, sensual and potentially healing massage can lead?
