When I was younger I got caught up in the collectibles/memorabilia thing. You know buying signed this, signed that "collectable" this and that.
Later on I sold it all at a massive loss. It taught me a valuable lesson: Things are only worth what other people are willing to pay. And that memorabilia and collectables should only be bought if you genuinely LIKE them. Not expecting to get a good return on your investment.

Thoughts?

Ahoy Bro AL, I do agree with you. But there is always the chance you may have collected something, that is considered valuable today.
For example a Beatles vinyl single will always get some return money, but, if it had signatures on it, It would certainly have some value.
Cheers Bro

Or reverse HP Melbourne jumpers signed by their priority pick players Worth twice as much un signed

I'm not a collectable$ type of guy. But I do have a big porno collection... Does that count?

I $pend mo$t of my ca$h on ga$h.

See in todays paper Col Sanders white suit was sold to the president of KFC Japan foe $21 000
He is pictured wearing it I suppose the value has dropped because of that

There are people who buy those things advertised during the cricket - one thousand cricket bats "quickly snapped up" and signed individually by Mr. X Y Z etc.

Don't know if they REALLY sell that well or if they're worth anything resale even after the cricketer dies. You'd have to be an incredible diehard fan to think it's worth buying I guess.

I lost all respect for cricket when Warnie got a facelift.

If Warnie was such a stud he would have dated Liz 15-20 years ago...
