Does anyone know what the laws in WA are
In relation to escort ads stating who they will
see according to their race ?
I've noticed a few state age bracket of clientele they'll see,
Is this any different ? Are there specific discriminatory
Laws in relation to stating racial preference in an ad ?

Short version is no and you'll end up in the poo.

Doesn't mean you have to see them of course but you can't advertise the fact that you won't see an ethnic group, disabled person etc.

Jess Vixxxen has a line you call (voicemail I assume) and then she contacts you. A clever way to weed out weirdo's or people u might not want to see ;)

Correct under the current legislation a W/L can not be forced to accept a client.

I am all for honesty....as long as it is not offensive, in which case say nothing.
It saves a lot of time wasting.
People want what they want and will do what they do.
 
I understand where your coming from but in WA at least, you simply aren't allowed to advertise that you only take bookings from australians, Europeans etc.

There are more ways to express your needs without blatantly stating race, unfortunately the wowsers of WA have too much to say, it just confuses the issue. Hence my point!!
 
Ofcourse the W/L should be able to stipulate what races she will accept, it's her body and up to her who she see's.

It may seem a little offensive to some, but I doubt the easily offended would be eye'ing off the escort advertisements in the first place...

Bottom line is it's her body and her decision, if she doesn't want a particular race, she should be free to advertise it.

I'd hazard a guess that avoiding a particular race of her choosing via her advertisement would be a lot safer then declining them face to face as well, that could end up as a dangerous situation for her with the wrong person.

Racism is so vastly over-played and over-hyped these days it's ridiculous...
 
Simply doesn't work like that DP if a WL is actually trying to run a professional business.

If not then I guess your free to advertise what you like and suffer the consequences, whatever they may be :)

In terms of law issues in relation to written word,
it seems its best to express any preferences over the phone.

So long as we are polite, most guys understand
and appreciate the honesty, saves their time, as much as ours.

I see in the paper often advertisements that are for a certain race only, yet for some reason they aren't considered racist..

To name a few examples:

* Jobs advertisements in the newspaper that stipulate: "aboriginal or torres strait islander applicants only" - these are common.

* A regional rugby league competition that was played in my area recently, it had teams from all over the state, it was massive, but the teams were strictly aboriginal players only.

* A medical centre in my town that offers free consultations to aboriginal citizens only...



Now, I'm not racist either way, I have friends from all races and consider every person on their individual merits, I couldn't give a stuff what heritage they have, but I'm sorry, it's not a one way street, if you can advertise freely in favour of a particular race only, then you should be able to advertise to exclude one particular race only.

Somehow I can't imagine a job advertisement in the newspaper saying "caucasian applicants only" ... It'd probably make national headlines... Yet the reverse is common and completely acceptable.

Would be interested to know langtrees view on this? If a potential client saw a lady they wwould like to book, would they be told prior that the lady only sees a particular ethnic group? Or does langtree during the interview process of a potential wl ask whether she only see certain type of clients and whether this effects her gaining employment at langtrees?
 
In my view sexual contact is still a very personal matter whether done as a commercial activity or normal relationship. If you are a punter who values how and who they spend their time and money with, you should never be offended by the level of openness of prostitutes. I personally like to be assured of a good time so I make sure the lady feels comfortable in my company. Political correctness has it's place.

....just an observation......section 13 of the "Racial Discrmination Act 1975" (Commonwealth) says:

Well, the law as outlined in Fud's post seemsd pretty clear but, as in a lot of law matters the application is a bit fuzzy.

If I understand correctly the Police will only get involved if there is a complaint and I would guess that not many men would want to go through with that process, if only because they would know that the press would be all over it.

As a corporate Business Development Manager in a previous life, I regularly used a few different techniques to either persuade undesired clients to go elsewhere, OR to make their business well worth it for me!
