Burnout is an all-too-common experience for many working women, who often juggle demanding careers, family responsibilities, and social expectations. The pressure to "do it all" can lead to exhaustion, emotional fatigue, and a loss of motivation.

Whether you're climbing the corporate ladder, running your own business, or managing a household alongside your job, it's important to recognize when burnout is creeping in—and even more important to find ways to cope and recover.

If you’ve found strategies that help you stay balanced and avoid burnout, we’d love to hear them. Share your tips below and let’s support each other in creating healthier, more sustainable work lives!

I think making sure all your needs are met is such an effective way to avoid burn out, even though it seems like such an obvious answer. 7-9 hours sleep, proper nutritious meals that are full of protein, fruits and vegetables, drinking lots of water, avoiding alcohol and other substances, making time for your hobbies and loved ones, taking care of your body, staying active, getting plenty of sun, spending time in nature, meditating and journaling etc.! People don’t realise the affect that all these things have on our daily functioning – you only get out what you put in (or whatever that nutrigrain ad says).

Set your boundaries and respect yourself to guard them. People will always test your boundaries but learn to say no.
Know your limits, be kind to yourself. No-one is irreplaceable, if you burnout they'd find someone else in a heartbeat.

Taking time for yourself is also a good strategy. Even small amounts of time can be beneficial. I listen to podcasts on the car on the way way to work, that way I’m thinking about what I have to do as I drive in.
I also want to reaffirm Mia’s post, looking after your health is the best way to burnout at bay.

I used to have a break to decompress before going home. I'd never go straight home from a stressful shift.

Prioritising self-care, setting boundaries, and seeking peer support are essential strategies for maintaining balance and preventing burnout in an increasingly demanding world.
