By your own definition are you a "black and white" kind of person or "grey"?

Does your perception change across the spectrum or is it pretty unwavering?

Morally very grey, but linguistically black and white.

I believe in context. A man should not steal; A man should not let his family starve; ergo a man should steal bread to feed himself and his family if no other option appears possible.

Certain things fall into black and white categories, though, and I blame my years behind the flogger for that. Consent, Respect, Communication.

is this a morality play? If so then Black and White all they way.

How do you know something is "grey" or morally ambiguous? You must first know what is good, and then what is evil in each particular scenario. And once you know something is good, then you have no business picking a mixture.

I'm an albino dwarf living in a grey world. What do you think?

In his book "In The Wet" Nevil Shute used a phrase to describe the morality of a policeman allowing a Chinese market gardener to grow and opium for his own consumption in these words:

"Right is never wholly right, nor is wrong wholly wrong in the North"

He was specifically commenting on the fact that the local Police allowed a Chinese market gardener to grow opium for his own use because prosecuting him would deprive the town of its only source of fresh vegetables.

There are a lot of instances where this can apply.
