Flatman.
Looking at the menu, it says "Straight sex and massage" - 1 hour for $100! My how times have changed!Flatman.
That was a long time ago. If you work out the rate of inflation you're getting a good deal at $500 per hour...Looking at the menu, it says "Straight sex and massage" - 1 hour for $100! My how times have changed!
That wasn't the intention of my posting but I suspect as a percentage of a fortnightly wage, cost of housing etc, that was still affordable. Also, many brothels offered half hours. Does Langtrees? That was a long time ago. If you work out the rate of inflation you're getting a good deal at $500 per hour...
It sure does. And 20 mins too...That wasn't the intention of my posting but I suspect as a percentage of a fortnightly wage, cost of housing etc, that was still affordable. Also, many brothels offered half hours. Does Langtrees?
Oooh never knew that.It sure does. And 20 mins too...

Back in the day I was a regular at La Cherie and I found it this hard to believe so I did the maths. Also in 1993 La Cherie charged $180 per hour for massage, oral on him (protected) and sex.
That's 32 years ago...Do the maths.. $500 is cheap.
People blow way to much $ these days on "keeping up with the Jones's"...
.
Wow! Thanks for the research. Langtrees aside, it does indicate even private ladies are charging a lot more compared to back in the day...Back in the day I was a regular at La Cherie and I found it this hard to believe so I did the maths.
According to the ABS CPI data series between 1993 and 2025, the general price level has increased by 150% over that 32 year period, whereas $500 is close to a 280% increase in real terms over the same time period. So far from being cheap, it is far more expensive in real terms. Furthermore, IIRC the cost of basic extras at La Cherie was $20 ($50 in todays money, which also seems common in the industry today) compared to $150 at Langtrees.

The general price level is what we call inflation. You challenged to do our own maths and I did, now show me where the official ABS data is incorrect rather than your subjective beliefs. Interestingly, if you apply the official inflation rates from 1993, it shows that $180 Back then is equivalent to around $380 today, which is around the going rate at most brothels in Perth and across Australia. Like I said I was a regular at La Cherie 32 years ago and extras were $20, though most ladies didn't charge for basic extras like DATY. That $20 is equivalent to $50 today which, surprise surprise, is the going rate for extras at most places. So in real terms, for most WL services punters are in real terms paying the same today as they did 32 years ago.The general price level of what?
Tell me what you could fit in a trolley for $180 back in 1993 and how much that would cost now. More than $500 dude.
Ladies have learnt their worth and extras prices show that.
There is no way ladies were only charging $20 for extras. This I know for a fact. Though there may have been a couple, who didn't do so well, that may have taken what they could back then..
So if WA has a recession or Covid strikes again, prices won't come down because ladies know they're worth more than that? Or will they have learnt something new? Surely market factors come into play. There are many who think that $500 is price gouging. Langtrees can justify it with its surroundings, aircon etc but how do others who don't have those facilities?Ladies have learnt their worth and extras prices show that.
28:43 What an intelligent interviewer and what brave ladies consenting to be interviewed.A longer version of the documentary and more entertaining.
