About two years ago, i have met Dalai Lama. It was small forum, for just 1000 people. ( usually Dalai Lama gathers five times more) I was contemplating, whether to go or not...I never was religious person, and always believe in myself with small help from kind spirits help up from the sky...My sister was worried, that after seeing Dalai Lama, i would sell my car, give away my designer handbags and D&G shoes to poor people, shave my head and move to Tibet....I must say, my life has been changed after that forum in a positive way. I managed to ask Dalai Lama a few questions ( about his sex life, as well)...I am definitely trying to be better person now... Dalai Lama mentioned as well, that i should be less selfish. And he was RIGHT! But no one told me that before...What about YOU? Is it your mother? Your neighbour? Any celebrity that made strong impact in your life? Would love to hear from everyone. Cheers.

The Dalai Lama has always sounded like an amazing person, you were very lucky to be able to meet and talk with him!
Can't say I've been inspired by too many people, most have let me down over the years and have lacked drive and motivation so I have had to focus on myself for inner strength. However the most amazing and inspirational people I've met have been W/L's.

I worked with a guy by the name of David Martin a few years ago ... ended up being knighted and a Governor of NSW .... an inspiration & true leader ... google him to get the story ...

There's a woman who lives in the UK who I've been talking too every day for about a year. We both happen to be born on the same day and have so much in common, from abusive pasts to crazy sex lives. Apparently she's the queen Dom of her local BDSM club and does things that would probably make Sir Stephan have a heart attack! Her father was a male Escort. She's the only person I've ever met in my life that I've been able to share every personal detail with - and she's the same with me. I couldn't even do this with my ex. While her sex life could be a book longer than war and peace, she understands love and relationships and If she wasn't in a relationship I think we'd be in one... well I'd be chaining myself to her door :)

Great question and one that i put a lot of thought into, over the lasr few hours.

I can't really pin it down as i've met some truely stand out people who have guided, taught and inspired me along the journey of life but there is probably 2.

Person A followed a career path that provided him with 12 years of crazy adventures and huge personal growth. Hands down the most interesting career choice and an interesting bloke. Not always good outcomes, some really tough times but a life packed full of adreneline and interesting experiences. I can relate to that.

Person B taught me to push myself physically and emotionally to the limits. She's now a WL actually. She changed the way i live and
perhaps watered a seed that until i met her, remained dormant inside.

They are probably my 2 standouts in a sea of awesome guys and girls. I've met some famous people who probably lead far more interesting lives
but theres not always a great deal of substance behind them.

My Dad. He was a little man in statue but he could certainly work a room. It always fascinated me walking into a crowded room I could pinpoint him straight away.
He never judged people and was the first to acknowledge that each and every one of us has a unique story and journey in life.
There is not a day that goes by that I don't miss him x

Paul Hill when I was a teenager. He was here with a gospel church singing choir. Their voices were amazing. He was amazing. He has one of the worst stutters I ever heard but made you cry when he sang. He was a 3 grade school teacher and song writer, responsible for Whitney's Greatest Love Of All and Lionel Richie's Hello. I taught him the Vegemite song and he sung it at the end of his concert....He truly was a lovely soul and helped me smile through a very bad time.:)

I am going to move this thread to HISTORY forum and make it a sticky. The beautiful Anastasia that started this thread past away about 5 months ago. She worked with us for over 4 years and was a vibrant, honest, kind, sharing person that loved life.
In her early 40's she just did not wake up one morning and was in good health and did no drugs or alcohol. We keep it private at the time in respect for her. I post this now in memory of a very special Langtrees Lady.
She will now be on her next journey and I am sure she will pop into the forum occasionally to check up on all the members making sure that no one is forgotten. She was always sending out goodwill messages and have a love for life.
4 months before her passing she did a cruise to Antartica ,which she really loved. I lent her my Merino wool travelling outfits.she was so adventurous, was just about to qualify as a real estate agent and move her life in a different direction when her call from above came.
Anastasia I am not an emotional sort of girl, I just want to let you know I love you and I miss you and I will never forget you.
Love Mary-Anne

Who is the most interesting person I have ever met ??!
You, Anastasia...

I have not personally met braver, more honest, genuine and inspiring person then you.
Not many of us have as much balls as you had !!

She was applying for the chinese visa to go to Tibet. When the chinese ambassador in Perth asked her what is the purpose of her trip to Tibet she answered: "I will shave my head and meditate in Tibet forever" with her very own angry attitude. Obviously, her visa application was denied. I laughed for days ;D

This is quite a shock, just saw this now. I had wondered where Anastacia had disappeared, having enjoyed our robust debates on Russian foreign policy and propaganda.

Dosvedanya, tovarisch. :(

I give you this one thought to keep.
I am with you still. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on the snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone.
I am with you still in each new dawn...
