American. I've not yet had a chance to see the UK original. I'll give it a go. I do think Brit shows are just a bit overrated. America pumps out a vile amount of garbage but if you sift through it there are some really good stuff.

Hmm... I don't know. That seems hyper pragmatic to me. Many people do what they love and don't get paid well. The alternative is to do something you don't like and get paid better. Many of us could probably earn more driving a forklift (if we're not forklift drivers already)... but we don't...
