One of my favorite places, its a wonderful market.
Every Saturday morning the Parap Village Markets entice and delight with bustling colourful life. A treasured institution since 1982, the Parap Village Markets house a diverse gathering of stallholders who set up under shady trees, awnings and umbrellas to sell their wares.

Even before the sun is up the food stalls are busily preparing exotic and local dishes. Flavours of Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia and Indonesia come to life. Choice abounds with delicious crepes, zesty salads, fruit smoothies, ice treats for the kids and gourmet coffee.

Browse the diverse range of fresh produce available at market prices and enjoy locally grown vegetables, herbs, Asian greens and exotic fruits the likes you've never seen.

Catch up with friends to the backdrop of ambient live music then wander through the markets to discover a precious collection of Territory crafts including clothing, jewellery and gems, artworks, beauty products, decor, specialist crafts, souvenirs, potted plants and cut flowers, massage techniques from around the world, tarot and much much more.

Parap Village Markets proudly contains the highest representation of local arts, crafts and produce of any market in Darwin. We provide an impressive range of quality Territory wares available at market prices, direct from the creator.

Offering the finest tropical flavours and true Territory atmosphere, the Parap Village Markets are on every Saturday from 8am - 2pm (rain or shine) and are located within the Parap Village Shopping Centre (itself a local treasure!), Parap Road, just five minutes from the CBD.

Public Bus Route 4, delivering you right to the markets.
Tour Tub scheduled stop.

Great write up about the markets.

I'm new to Darwin and this place has been my vice every Saturday morning.
Who doesn't love coffee and homemade Asian food on a sunny weekend morning.

:)
