housing in Darwin tourist season

Yikes! Trying to find a place that won't make me have to work all day long just to pay the rent. I'm not having luck with nice serviced apartments, may have to do a hotel.

I'd like to know what areas of town are best for someone w/o a car. I need everything w/in walking distance of about 2km or so. Plus Internet, of course!
