Thanks Mary-Anne and Elle Bee. Actually I've lived there and know the place quite well but I'm just looking for new ideas and recommendations. This is the riverfront with the famous Foreign Correspondents Club (with the lights on)
Great restaurants and in the nearby streets welcoming hostess bars!

The Esplanade (day or night) can be fun too especially if the bar scene is not your thing. I do miss the Nay Nay Star Bar and would like to find something similar.

i found Sihanoukville the place to go, far better than the dirty capital pnom penh, went there for a few months, its impossible not to figure out where all the girl bars are, and there are some beautiful lovelies to be had for around $20-$50. WARNING though, make sure you use lube because some of those girls can be a bit dry, are usually young and hot, and condom breaking can be a problem with the local condoms, so take good quality jimmies with you. Even picked up a few freebies there, just going out to the clubs and chatting to the local girls, its definitely a paradise for men :) Make sure you take iodine /antiseptic and some good anti-parasitic/deworming tablets with you, and lots of charcoal tablets for food poisoning . Also dont eat insects/bugs and stick to well cooked food if you can.

The hostess bars are still fun places to go. These days though there are many nightclubs, like Pontoon, full of freelancers where the pickings are better!!

Cambodian bars and more importantly the girls are great fun.
But dont miss out on visiting Siem Reap and touring the temples, although can be stifling hot at times.
I lived in Cambodia in 2009 and 2010, Sihanoukville was great then, but it has now been sold off to the Chinese for their casinos and is no longer a good place to visit.
Most of the locals have now moved out as it too expensive for them.
Corrupt Khmer government could not care though as they are making money out of it, for themselves.

Back to the bars, I find wondering around the side streets off of Riverside is great fun for a few drinks and meeting great Khmer girls.
Talk to them, treat them well, show them respect and sling them a few bucks if they have been good company.

With travel from WA hopefully opening up by February I'm Hoping to get back soon. The bars have been through a tough time during Covid so I hope they're able to get up and running again quickly

Anywhere in particular you suggest from your previous visits?

I mainly stayed in Phnom Penh around the riverside area. I worked there for awhile as well as visits. Kampot is nice but quieter than PP. S'ville has been spoilt by over development I hear. I also like Koh Kong and its a grate place to stop if you are going overland to Thailand along the coast.
